Reacting to the verdict of the Mr. Jack Warner at a world press
briefing today at the Teslim Balogun Stadium, Lagos Mr. Pinnick said
the Warri Sub-seat would be one hundred percent ready in July when the
delegation re-visits, because they were already 90 percent ready right
now.
Mr. Pinnick who also doubles as the chairman of the Delta State Sports
Commission said the shift in date to come to Warri, by the delegation,
is a blessing in disguise and that the people of Warri will go all out
to convince the that Warri is very peaceful and a football loving
town.
He added that Nigeria would be the greatest losers if Warri were not
chosen eventually. He said this would be so because apart from the
fact that the government of Dr Emmanuel Uduaghan has spent over two
billion naira to up-grade the Warri City Stadium, the city of Warri,
as an oil producing town, needs re-branding. |
